A Homeless Man and What His Proposal Taught Me

The years I spent working in the downtown core of a relatively large city certainly gave me an education. For me, coming from a much smaller city, one where you made it a point to talk to your neighbors and to smile and say hi to people you pass on the street, the anonymity of it all put me back on my heels that first day in.
